Safety at Urben Rider
Safer trips begin before the vehicle moves.
Use the information and tools available in the app, stay alert and contact emergency services first when there is an immediate threat.
View safety stepsImmediate emergency?
In India, call the national emergency number 112. Platform support is not an emergency service.
Before the trip
Check first, then ride
Choose a safe pickup
Stand in a visible, lawful stopping area away from fast traffic, blind corners and restricted zones.
Match the details
Confirm the captain, photo where provided, vehicle type and registration number against the app.
Protect verification codes
Share an OTP only with the assigned captain and only when you are ready to begin the correct trip.
During the trip
Use safety tools without distracting the captain
- Wear available seat belts or legally required protective equipment
- Use in-app communication instead of exposing personal contact details
- Share trip status with a trusted person where the feature is available
- Speak up calmly if the route or driving feels unsafe
- End the ride in a safe public place when necessary
Something does not look right?
Do not enter a vehicle that does not match the app. Move to a safe place, cancel using the appropriate reason and report the issue.
For immediate danger, call 112. For non-emergency trip review, contact Urben Rider support with the booking reference.
